Our Story

Mike and Lynda met at his vet surgery 11 years ago and have been together ever since. Mike's family are in Brisbane and he has a son Jordan who is at university. He has a  mature female red Australian Cattledog named "Ellie-May", who by the way loves cats! Our latest addition is "Bugsy Malone", delightful male Pug who we adopted after an amazing life threatening crisis at the vet surgery. Ellie and Bugsy have a great time playing, chasing and frolicking around the property. We enjoy "family" time together whenever possible.
Lynda's human family are in Sydney. She moved to Queensland in 2003 with 4 cats, a Ragdoll and 3 Russians, and has made many beautiful friends in Queensland. We started breeding Russians in 2010 with old Tasmanian lines, "Travmakov" from Julie and Glen Fletcher in Hobart. The quiet, gentle, regal nature of the Russians inspired us to promote this remarkable breed. Our foundation Russian was "Matilda".

We have enjoyed a bit of travel over the years with fun experiences around Australia and overseas. Mike enjoys doing things around the home and pottering around the garden. Lynda's hobby is photography, particularly of cats and anything creative. You may see some photos on the walls of the cattery and on Facebook!

We have both loved cats all our lives and currently have 3 treasured hand-raised rescue cats who we love and adore very much: "Mercy", "Mr Mistofellees (Maestro)" and "Phar Lap". They are our house cats and we are their slaves!!

We are members of the Cat Fancy since we began breeding in 2009. We started with the mischievous Tonkinese in 2009 and have since bred Manx, Scottish Folds, Scottish Shorthairs and Russians (mainly blue but also black and white). We enjoy the excitement of breeding kittens and attending local and interstate cat shows.  We have had some great results over the years. Our favourite section is the Companion ring where you can show any cat at all that does not have a pedigree. This is just for fun. We have some wonderful show Companions and a very large display cabinet with their prize ribbons and trophies.

We moved and settled into our beautiful home at the Capalaba Cat Cottage in the Redlands Shire on 10th October 2017. This is a business boarding facility for cats only. We thoroughly enjoy our home and activity caring for cats and meeting their owners. We have very comfortable, pleasant facilities and various cat runs to choose from for your special furry friends. We are making the most of social media by posting photos of your dearly loved kitties up on our Facebook page almost every day so you can see they are happy and safe whilst you are away. :)
We very much look forward to meeting every individual pussy cat and their owners.
